Fuel For Your Workout

My stomach started making that rumbling sound, I looked at the time and 3-hours passed by so fast since the last time I had a meal; plus I am planning to workout soon; the struggle is real, okay not really, but getting hungry before a workout can change things up a bit.

 

The best antidote a pre-workout snack. This makes the tummy happy, and you can re-energize for that workout.

Now before, I share some pre-workout snacks with you; I would like to go a bit deeper into this topic if you have time to hang out with me before scrolling down to get the snack tips.

 

Another important way to fuel for a workout is your mindset. How are you mentally preparing for your workout? Are you pumped or tired? Do you feel excited or dreadful? These may seem like silly questions, but the way you set yourself up mentally will determine how much effort you will put into the workout and how you will feel after. The best feeling in the world is knowing, you did your absolute best, right?

 

The best way to do that is setting yourself up for success, and that starts in the mind.

 

Everything ties in together. Eating a good healthy snack satisfies your stomach and a having healthy outlook satisfies your mindset. This is also why it is important to choose workouts you enjoy, and in a place, you feel the most comfortable. Working out is not one-size fits all, everyone has their own preference. The sooner you find yours, the better working out will be and the less likely you will want to stop; because no one should stop doing something that is good for them and fun.

  • Hard-boiled eggs
  • Steel Cut oatmeal with blueberries
  • Apple w/Almond butter
  • Latte w/ almond or soy milk
  • Ezekiel Bread with Almond Butter and half a banana
  • Sweet Potato chip
  • Handful of almond
